Backgammon types of winning:

Regular win

You succeed in moving all your pieces off the board before your opponent finishes to move off his. This kind of win gets the winner 1 time the value of the doubling cube. The backgammon board would look something like this:

Gammon win  

You succeed in moving all your pieces off the board before your opponent starts to move off his (0 pieces removed). This kind of win gets the winner 2 times the value of the doubling cube. The backgammon board would look something like this:

Backgammon win 

You succeed in moving all your pieces off the board while there are still opponent pieces in your home base or on the bar. This kind of win gets the winner 3 time the value of the doubling cube. The backgammon board would look something like this:

 

You can see there is a white piece at the black home base.

 

Doubling cube win

If you play with a doubling cube and you offer a doubling and your opponent refuses, that consider your win. This kind of win gets the winner points as the doubling cube shows.

Important to mention that if you play with a doubling cube, win points will be multiplied by the cube number. For example, if the cube is 8 and you win by Backgammon, you get 24 points!!
